Planning a wedding isn’t just about booking a florist, choosing a DJ, tastings, and gift registries. It’s all about us telling your unique love story. We get to know our couples on a personal level and typically end up as friends. Of course we love planning and designing weddings but none of that matters without you. That’s why during our initial consultation, we take time to find out how you and your fiancé met, how you or they proposed, what you love about each other, and how we can sprinkle that throughout your wedding day. Kara is the superstar of wedding planning. We hired Kara last year as the wedding planner for my daughter's wedding. Kara was in charge of coordinating with all vendors. She is engaging, responsive to all requests and very passionate about this job. My daughter's wedding was originally scheduled in May 2020 and had to be rescheduled twice due to the pandemic. Kara guided us through this process reaching out to all vendors to coordinate the wedding in May 2021. As a father my job was easy as Kara coordinated directly with all of us as far as the schedule for the big day. The wedding was a spectacular success and my daughter and her husband were amazed at the celebration that my wife and I coordinated with Kara. Kara is absolutely amazing! We planned a destination wedding and Kara made it so easy and less stressful for us. She is extremely flexible and will go out of her way to give you exactly what you want. I had no idea where to begin, she has so many great ideas and is very knowledgeable with her line of work. Where do I start with Kara! From before we even officially hired her, she and I clicked immediately. She is so incredibly attentive, sweet, talented and easy to get along with! The thought of even planning a wedding before I had her gave me panic attacks. Having Kara along the way helped us relax and made sure everything was set for our big day. Kara is the absolute best wedding planner you could ever hope for. She helped us not only plan our wedding, but our destination wedding when we were on the other side of the country. Our day was beyond perfect, it was everything we wished for and more. We truly believe without Kara it wouldn’t have been that way and definitely wouldn’t have gone as smoothly. Kara was the calm in our stressful storm of wedding planning, the minute she took over everything went perfectly! Not to mention everyone at our wedding loved her because of how amazing she was! She was our wedding planner but she also became our good friend along the way! We can’t recommend her enough, she truly is the best! 💗

I will do my best not to cry while writing this review, I am just so thankful for Kara and all the she did to make our day truly spectacular.

Lets start from the beginning. When I first got engaged I reached out to several wedding coordinators, Kara gave me a phone call within 30 minutes of me sending an her e-mail. I did not hear back from the others for days!

Our venue was located on my parents farm, in a remote location. She took us through from start to finish. She recommended the majority of our vendors who were also all amazing (seriously, no complaints).

And when I say she was on top of it, she was on TOP of it. From coordinating a day of time line down to the minute to dealing with mini disasters throughout the whole process. I was so stress free the entire day, did not deal with one vendor and had an amazing time because of her hard work and dedication. It shows that she truly loves what she does.

Oh, and she comes prepared with everything you might forget day of. She even created a cake stand for our wedding cake! Unfortunately we did not get to use it because our bakery surprised us with a round cake as opposed to the square one we ordered. Again, she dealt with this amazingly, everything was covered. She set up our center pieces with an expert touch and even steamed my dress as well as my bridesmaids dresses.

Besides the technical stuff, I felt like I had a friend through every step. She was so calming and helped me deal with the stress of wedding planing. If you want to be taken care of like you should for your wedding, reach out to her. You won't be disappointed. She will ensure that you are able to spend your time on the important things (i.e enjoying your friends and family).

As Mother of the Bride, my daughter and her new husband had a truly flawless wedding for over 100 family and guests. From the planning phases (we were mostly all out of town during this time so this could be termed a "destination wedding") to the execution
of the evening itself, Kara and Brian handled even the most mundane details smoothly, capably and always professionally with a smile. Five stars is not a high enough rating for this couple's fledgling new business. Their costs were also in keeping and reasonable for such a beautiful and joyous event. I would be happy to be used as a reference for Karen & Brian, both personally and professionally, if someone wishes to contact me. Again, thanks to Kara & Brian and K.C. KC Weddings and Events was the best investment we made for our destination wedding! Living in Michigan, it was intimidating trying to coordinate a wedding across the country. Kara put my mind at ease every step of the way and was extremely accessible to answer my questions in the months leading up to our big day. The week before in our coordinating phone call, Kara pointed out a few small details we may be missing (card box, cupcake stand, etc.) and had these items available to rent from her own personal inventory which was extremely helpful! On the day of the wedding, we had some wind issues which did change up some of the plans in terms of décor, table settings, etc… however I did not have to deal with any of this headache and Kara handled everything gracefully behind the scenes so I didn’t have to worry about a thing on the day of the wedding. She bustled my dress (which the hook for the bustle broke at some point in the day by the way, so thank goodness for her nifty sewing skills to save the day before my father daughter dance!) I would highly recommend Kara and KC Weddings & Events to anyone looking for a kind, helpful, professional, organized, and extremely talented wedding coordinator! I am so thankful we chose Kara to help us on our big day! Thank you for everything!

Thank you to Kara and Brian for their work during our wedding! We originally were planning on having around 25-30 guests at our parents house in Marco Island and figured we wouldn’t need a coordinator or planner.. Once that escalated to 52 people we decided to reach out for help and found KC Weddings, and they stepped in seamlessly to where we were at in our planning and got started. Kara is so responsive and available for any questions you may have. She has a wealth of knowledge regarding the wedding planning process and gives great advice to those (like us) who didn’t know what they were doing. We had a unique venue, in that we got married at my parents house out on their dock, so Kara made sure that we had everything we needed (from tables, chairs, silverware, everything for the caterer/kitchen, glasses, napkins etc - the things a “typical” venue would provide). She helped us with the design and flow of the wedding as well which was perfect. On the day of, Kara and her team were there helping with whatever was needed, and it was so appreciated. Even if you are having a small, home wedding like us, HIRE Kara!! It truly made our wedding day stress-free, knowing someone else was handling the vendors/timeline/decor/set-up/breakdown. I could just relax and enjoy the day, thanks to Kara. Highly recommend 🙂 Thank you Kara and Brian! Our day was perfect!

From the moment i said YES, to when Hurricane Irma ruin our first venue, and then when her husband Brian found us the most amazing wedding venue, till my wedding day literally sweeping my husband and I off our feet... Kara and her team were there with me every step of the way! Ask anyone of our family and friends and they will tell you our wedding was one the best ones they ever been too.
